Michael is the Middle School Choir director at Southwood Academy of the Arts, and he has worked in local theatre for years. Along with countless choir concerts, he has been involved in over 50 large musical productions, and he has music-directed over 30 musicals. He is excited to see where God leads in this new venture!Â
As the Executive Artistic Director, Michael will work to ensure that our productions and activities are focused on our mission of God, Education, and Performance. He will collaborate with the Board and staff to produce high-quality shows that point the community to Christ.
Rebecca learned to appreciate and enjoy the performing arts at a young age but didn't step onto the stage until later in life. She has participated in several shows across Anderson County and is looking forward to continuing her theatre experience at Lighthouse Christian Theatre.Â
As Program Director, Rebecca will be working behind the scenes to make sure all events and activities at Lighthouse Christian Theatre are running smoothly and are staying in line with our core values and practices.
Dr. David Sollish is the Chair of Theatre and Dance at Anderson University and has been a professional actor and director for nearly four decades. The veteran of over 300 productions, Dr. Sollish has worked with the best and brightest from Broadway and Hollywood and everywhere in between.
As Board Chair, Dr. Sollish will work closely with the Executive Artistic Director, Program Director, and board members to bring to fruition the dream of a Christ-centered community theatre serving all ages in the Upstate and to ensure Lighthouse Christian Theatre upholds our mission and core values.
Misty is very excited to be joining the Lighthouse Christian Theatre team. Misty became involved with local theatre when her oldest son was nine years old. She greatly appreciated the sense of community and friendships that grew during the productions of the shows.Â
Misty will be serving as our Treasurer and head of the Finance Committee.
Ashley is a fourth grade teacher at Calhoun Academy of the Arts. She graduated from Anderson University in 2022 with her degree in Elementary Education plus minor in music. Ashley is an active performer in local community theatre, and she has worked as a stage manager for local youth theatre. Ashley is very excited that Lighthouse Christian Theatre is bringing Christ-centered learning and performing opportunities to Anderson.Â
As board secretary, Ashley helps organize meetings for the board and supports the board chair, ensuring that the board operates efficiently. By handling these tasks, the rest of the team can focus on bringing the mission of Lighthouse Christian Theatre to the community. She is so excited to see what God will do through our theatre!
