Auditions | Hans Christian Andersen JR. A Musical Fable of Copenhagen

Ages 8-18. Must be at least 8 years old by performance dates and no older than 18 years old at auditions.
Please note: We will try to cast as many as we can, but cast size is limited.
One Audition Form must be completed for each actor auditioning.
Audition Dates: January 12, 13, 16 (Choose one date to attend) • 6:00-7:00 PM

Audition Process: Students need to prepare a 30-60 second selection of a song, preferably musical theatre, to perform in front of our audition panel. Students will also do a simple movement audition with our choreographer. Please come dressed in comfortable clothes to move in, and wearing shoes they can dance in. Do not wear open toe shoes, crocs, or slippers.
Performance Dates: (two weekends) Thursday-Saturday, April 9-18 • with two shows on Saturday
Rehearsals: evenings • Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, some Saturday mornings
*except Tech Week
Not every student will be called for all rehearsals. A full schedule will be provided shortly after casting, taking known conflicts into consideration.
TECH WEEK Rehearsals cannot be missed for any reason.
We will be following the Anderson School District 5 and Anderson Christian School calendars as best as we can.
We will be mindful to not schedule events and activities on Wednesday nights (with the exception of Tech week) or on Sundays. We encourage our students to be involved in their local churches and youth groups.
If you are unable to attend in-person auditions: We will be accepting virtual auditions for those unable to attend in-person.

Production Fee: Student Cast Production Fee is $100 - includes a cast T-shirt. (Payments are to be made AFTER casting. There is NO fee to audition.)
We are offering a discount for families with multiple students participating, as well as a parent volunteer discount. (More information will be provided at our parent meeting.)
$50 of the cast fee is due at our first rehearsal (January 23), in order for students to take materials home. The remaining balance will be due midway through the rehearsal process at our second parent meeting. The second parent meeting date will be included in rehearsal schedule.
