Auditions | Aladdin JR.

While we hope to find a role for as many students as possible, cast size is limited. Please note: Many factors go into casting a show. If a student receives a callback, this does not necessarily mean the student will be cast. If a student does not receive a callback, this does not necessarily mean the student will not be cast.


Age Eligibility: 8-18

Must be at least 8 years old and no older than 18 years old by performance dates.

What to Prepare: Prepare a 30 to 60 second selection from a musical theatre song. Please bring an accompaniment track. If using a YouTube/internet track, please provide a link on the audition form. We will not have a pianist at auditions. Those who perform without a track will also be asked to sing "Happy Birthday" with a track. There will be a short dance/movement audition, so please come dressed in clothes to move and comfortable shoes you can dance in.

Audition Dates: June 23, 24, and 26 • 6:00-8:00 PM

Please sign up for a one-hour audition spot on one of the audition dates.

Callbacks will be as needed on Saturday, June 28th.

Performance Dates: Thursday-Saturday, October 2-4 and 9-11 • with two shows on each Saturday

Rehearsals: evenings at Anderson Christian School • Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, some Saturdays *except Tech Week 

Not all students will be called for all rehearsals. A full schedule will be provided shortly after casting.

TECH WEEK Rehearsals cannot be missed for any reason.

Saturday, September 27th (all day Tech rehearsal)

Monday, September 29th through Wednesday, October 1st

We will be following the Anderson School District 5 and Anderson Christian School calendars as best as we can. 

We will be mindful to not schedule events and activities on Wednesday nights (with the exception of Tech week) or on Sundays. We encourage our students to be involved in their local churches and youth groups. 

If you are unable to attend in-person auditions: We will be accepting virtual auditions for those unable to attend in-person.

Please submit the link to the video using the Audition Form. If you do not have a link, submit video auditions directly to auditions@lighthousechristiantheatre.org

Deadline for virtual submissions is 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 26th. Submissions sent after this deadline will not be accepted.

In the subject line of the email, please include your name and the show you are auditioning for.

More Need-To-Know Info for Parents/Guardians

Classes: Students are not required to participate in classes for this production.

Production Fee: Student Cast Production Fee is $100
- includes a cast T-shirt

Multiple student Discount: We are offering a family discount of 20% off for each additional student, making it $80 for each additional student registered for the same family. 

Parent Volunteer Discount: We are not requiring that all parents volunteer in order for their student(s) to participate. However, parent volunteers will receive a $50 credit per-family as a thank you for your time, energy, and efforts.

We will have a volunteer interest meeting directly after the parent meeting on March 28th. This will allow you to learn about the different volunteer opportunities and requirements for each area. After that meeting, you can decide if/where you would like to volunteer.   - is this still correct?

LCT will cover the cost of mandatory background checks for volunteers. - confirm that this is correct

Fee Due-Dates: 

$50.00 for each student is due at our first parent meeting on March 28th. The remaining balance will be due at our second parent meeting, mid-way through the rehearsal process, date TBD.
